Converts PS5 and PS4 packages and game dumps between FPKG, exFAT, FFPKG, FFPFS and FFPFSC images, on the console or with a PC.
Release notes
PS4 games: fake packages open like PS5 ones, convert to any image ShadowMount+ starts, and build back into PS4 packages.
PS4 games
- PS4 fake packages (the usual all-zero passcode; older and newer packaging tools) open as the game's files plus sce_sys, and convert to a folder, exFAT, FFPKG, FFPFS or FFPFSC.
- Images and folders of a PS4 game get the sce_sys/param.json ShadowMount+ needs to start it, made from param.sfo. Tried on a PS5 with ShadowMount+ 1.7beta8; it shows "Trophy registration failed" for PS4 games, a ShadowMount+ issue (#97).
- A PS4 game in any format converts back to a PS4 fake package, byte-identical to LibOrbisPkg's pkg_build. The game's licence is kept (one is generated only when missing). The keys come from LibOrbisPkg: get "PS4 package keys" in Components first.
- The AMPR emulator and LZ4 packs are for PS5 games only and are left out for PS4 games.
- Not yet: updates (patch packages), DLC, and packages with a passcode other than all zeros.
Page and console app
- Every game carries a PS5 (white) or PS4 (black) pill, first on its line, in Files, in the queue and in Convert.
- Which console a game is for comes from its title ID (CUSA, PPSA), else from the SDK its eboot.bin was built with, so homebrew is told apart too.
PC
- alembic game-info shows a game's title ID, SDK and console.
- alembic fpkg-build and convert --to fpkg take --ps4-keys for PS4 games.
Install
- The app is listed in ProsperoStore; install it from there, or copy alembic-app-0.3.2.ffpkg (or the .zip folder) to /data/homebrew for ShadowMount+.

This app can get full access to the console, usually to read and write files outside its own folder. Install it only if you trust its developer.
It ships 1 helper program(s) that run outside the sandbox; 1 of them the catalog's maintainers have not read.
GitHub holds a signed statement that a workflow of the app's repository built exactly this file.
From an automatic scan of the release file, which is read and never run. It can miss things: it is not a guarantee. How the scan works
Install
Read the release notes and the project's documentation first. Some apps need extra setup, such as a payload, configuration or additional files, and the developer's instructions take precedence over the general steps below.
