What's new

  • Contextual Triangle search for Movies, TV Shows, Music and Discover, alongside Live TV and VOD search. Triangle does nothing on Home.
  • Independent Home-section loading, row retry and paged View all actions, without changing Home's appearance.
  • Better browsing-position restoration and saved library sort/filter preferences.
  • Additional playback, series/season and trailer shortcuts; confirmation for whole-series/season watched changes.
  • Theme-coloured focus rings and enlargement for Live TV and VOD cards.
  • Searchable Live TV group shortcuts, pinned groups and one-time provider-group imports with duplicate suppression.
  • VOD details, season selection and local Continue Watching, Resume and Play from beginning. Local VOD progress stays separate from Emby/Jellyfin history.
  • Improved large-catalogue loading: validated batches appear during refresh, progressing downloads use inactivity-based limits, and bulk requests yield to playback.
  • More efficient processing of large libraries and preservation of usable cached content.

Installation and updating

  • Close Emby5 completely.
  • Download Emby5-1.2.5.zip from the assets below, not a source-code archive.
  • Extract the ZIP to obtain the PPSA99515/ folder.
  • Copy the complete folder into /data/homebrew/. For an update, merge and overwrite the existing application files. Do not create a nested PPSA99515/PPSA99515 folder.
  • Wait for the transfer to finish, then launch Emby5 and confirm 1.2.5 under Settings > System > Installed version.

Do not delete or overwrite /data/Emby5/. Accounts, settings, groups and caches are separate from the installation.

Alternatively, update through ProsperoStore once version 1.2.5 is available.

Install
