What changed

A few small improvements to make listening more comfortable, plus fixes for the visualizers.

  • The track list now scrolls to the playing track when the song changes. After that, you can browse wherever you like, even while playback is paused.
  • Hiding the Eject button also hides its control hint. Both come back when you enable it again.
  • New OLED mode hides the fullscreen text and clock after two seconds without input and gently moves the effect around. With playback stopped, a minute of inactivity turns the screen black. Any button brings the picture back. The setting is remembered between launches.
  • Visualizer timing now follows the display refresh instead of the slower gallery-preview timing. Terminal effects also show their line-drawing symbols correctly, rather than question marks.

Updating

Close CD Player, then replace its PPSA98427 folder with the one from the ZIP. Your saved settings and cached album information are kept in the app's separate data folder.

Tested with Apple USB SuperDrive on PS5 firmware 13.60, including the new playback controls, OLED mode and visualizers.
