Release notes
XPSemu Update 2.1
Up to 4 players
- Every signed-in PS5 user's controller (or a guest's) now works in games. Before, only the first controller was seen.
- Players 2-4 are plugged in within 2 seconds of signing in, even during a game, and unplugged when they sign out.
- Only player 1 controls XPSemu's menus; the other controllers are for the games.
Game language (#10)
- New setting: Settings > Interface > Game language (English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese).
- Games that include that language now start in it. Before, every game started in English.
Saves
- Saves are no longer lost when you leave a game. XPSemu now lets the Xbox finish writing before it stops the game.
- Broken saves are repaired automatically. A save cut off while it was being made could stop a game from saving at all.
- A backup of every change is kept in
/data/xemu/save-repair/. - While the game finishes saving, the Now Playing bar burns away, and you can keep using the menu.
Fixes
- Crash after 15-20 minutes in playing games like Ninja Gaiden Black (#7).
- Crash when a game makes lots of new shaders.
- The Xbox hard disk survives a crash or closing XPSemu from the PS5 home screen. Before, games could hang on loading until
xbox_hdd.qcow2was deleted. - Far fewer graphics pipelines built, so fewer hitches in effect-heavy scenes.
- No needless ~8 MB cache save every time you leave a game.

Safety
- Leaves the sandbox
- Built by the developer
This app can get full access to the console, usually to read and write files outside its own folder. Install it only if you trust its developer.
The developer built and uploaded this file by hand. Nothing ties it to the published source.
From an automatic scan of the release file, which is read and never run. It can miss things: it is not a guarantee. How the scan works
Install
Read the release notes and the project's documentation first. Some apps need extra setup, such as a payload, configuration or additional files, and the developer's instructions take precedence over the general steps below.
- Download
PPSA97358.zipand extract it on your computer. - Copy the extracted
PPSA97358/folder to/data/homebrew/on your PS5, for example over FTP. - A loader such as ShadowMountPlus picks it up. Launch XPSemu from the home screen.
